Behind The Scenes - Powerade

Happy Friday!

A few weeks ago I posted about the Skins vs Shirts cinematic we produced for Mother featuring England football player, Wayne Rooney (see it here). You can now check out some behind-the-scenes footage and storyboards that Animatic Media use to produce these shoots! (just click on the image above)

Mama Kinder & the Chocolate Baron

Hello!

I've been having another rummage through the archives for this animatic Monday spot - there's so many to sort through! One which caught my eye was produced a few years ago for WCRS. It's a 30" 2D animatic for Kinder Surprise. It tells the story of the Chocolate Baron who makes sweets for adults, and Mama Kinder who came and made treats for Children...

For TV release it seems that the Kinder Egg was replaced with the Happy Hippo - you can watch a bad version on YouTube (here) or, if you're a member, there's a version on the visit4info.com website. Check them out!

Bounce Photomatic

Welcome again to Animatic Monday!

I was on the hunt for a feel-good file to show and picked this 30” Photomatic for Bounce Awakenings - it features a fantastic track called "Ordinary Day" by Emilie Mover.

The photomatic was produced for Leo Burnett in Toronto. We shot the stills in HD using a green screen, then built the background using 3D, before animating the character and floating bubbles on to the ladies t-shirt. You can see the TV version online here!

We often create photomatics and live tests using vHD or RED video footage - you can find out more on our website: www.animaticmedia.com

Nature Sweet "Pampered Tomatoes"

A month or so ago, when the sun first started coming out, I had this urge to grow some plants and decided to go for moneymaker tomatoes. What I assumed would be one or two plants, has in fact turned into an army of around eighteen(!) - currently 2ft tall and still growing!

I admit, tomatoes are pretty easy to grow and need little more than a good water and sunlight. However, I'm starting to worry if I will turn red by the end of the summer, having consumed so many of them!

Anyway, at the end of last year we produce a really beautiful 30” 3D animatic for US tomato producers, Nature Sweet. It's of a cute, animated plant growing and loving its single tomato - even sheltering it from the storm! Here it is:

I just looked on youtube and found the final TV version of the ad. It's so well produced! Awww I wonder if my plants will do the same?

Powerade “Skins V’s Shirts”

With the World Cup kicking off at the end of this week, it seemed only appropriate to show you one of our recent productions featuring England Striker, Wayne Rooney!

Earlier this year, Mother approached us to produce a 30” cinematic for Powerade in which two Wayne Rooney’s battle it out on the football field; One Rooney drinks water whilst the other Rooney drinks Powerade in preparation for a game… no prizes for guessing who wins!

This cinematic was partly illustrative, partly built in 3D, and partly shot on RED to produce natural running actions (then over drawn). We love the moody tone and dramatic camera angles!

The TV commercial was launched in February - you can watch it in full on PoweradeGB's Youtube page!
